April Showers Bring May Flowers

Last night was our Quarterly Relief Society Meeting. Thank you to all who attended. For those who didn't, we missed you!

It was great to visit with each other over dinner and then be uplifted by messages of hope and comfort delivered by Beth Vail, Christine Uffens
and Evelyne Wilden.

Beth's topic was "Why do we have showers in our lives?". Christine's was, "Who can we turn to for refuge from the storms?" and Evelyn spoke about "Blessing we receive if we valiantly weather the storms". Thank you for sharing your thoughts and testimonies!

Mindy McBride and Kara Del Valle entertained us with a rendition of "Singing in the Rain" accompanied by Linda Taylor. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

Here is the recipe for the Tomato Bisque that was served with dinner.
This recipe serves 2.

1- 10 oz condensed tomato soup
1- 10 oz water

3 oz cream cheese, cubed

Heat the soup and w
ater. When hot add cubed cream cheese and stir until melted.

Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, chopped fresh basil and a dash of ground pepper.

To make a larger serving:

1- 3 lb 2oz can condensed tomato soup
1- 3lb 2 oz can of water
15 oz cream cheese, cubed

Follow above directions.

The larger serving makes about 8 8-oz servings.

This would be really yummy with grilled cheese sandwiches.

It was a fun evening. I'm looking forward to the next Releif Society activity. I think you should post the cookie recipe too:)

Thank you for doing all this hard work for us. I had a wonderful time and was well fed (in all the aspects).
